Star photography in Fuerteventura
Discussion
I can't help with a location either but if you're not a start buff as I'm not I'd recommend one of the phone apps such as sky maps to help you identify which direction to point in. When I try in rural France I had grand ideas of finding a nice Chateau for some foreground interest. I soon lowered my expectations and tried to settle on just a shot of the Milky Way which I pretty much failed on too due to cloud cover.

I'm on holiday in Fuerteventura next week and I'd like to get a shot of the milky way while I'm there. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good location? This will be my first time there.

You are unfortunately going over there when there is a full moon and its up all night so you will really struggle to see the MW.ta

However, on the very bright side, if you're there on Sunday 27th September you have an excellent opportunity to view the Full Lunar Eclipse complete with the Super Blood Moon on Sunday night / early Monday morning (27/28 September).RobDickinson said:

I was worried about this when we went to Menorca in June as it was around a full moon, but the moon was absolutely nowhere to be seen, which if I'm honest I didn't really understand but presumably it wasn't visible below the horizon. As others have said, just find a dark place (out over the sea if possible) and get one of the apps. I had no idea what I was doing but got a few shots and saw the ISS...

I've checked and the moon is in the sky all night but the eclipse could be spectacular so certainly shoot that. During it the mw will be very visible.
Mw will be over towards the west have to check on times for eclipse
I would be planning a timelapse or something
Check the photographers ephemeris or google sky map, Stellarium etc

Maybe Mirador Morro Velosa?
The southern tip of the island is all natural park and is going to have zero light pollution bar the lighthouse in the far distance.
Just outside Caleta de Fuste is a salt museum. If you turn right, the road goes up onto the cliffs and into the wilds.
There are plenty of high hills that have easy walking access and the villages are few and far between.
I imagine you will be spoilt for choice.
