Somehow, my cat has buggered up my Photoshop! He ran across my keyboard and now I can't find my way back to the original screen. Any ideas?

What is it showing now and what do you want it to show?

Check the View menu and the Window one as well, probably not set to full size

There used to be a little vertical bar of tools between the picture & the box where you place the layers. It's gone! I used to be able to pull curves and various other bits out of it.

Window > Tools.

Also hotkeys eg:
Curves: Ctrl-M
Levels: Ctrl-L

Thank you people. I've almost got my usual screen back.
The cat was genuine, though I can imagine it would be a good excuse! We've got a 10 week old English Bull Terrier & the cat's world has turned upside down. Last week the bd deleted an important email when taking to the desk to avoid the jaws of death!
