Odd that on valentines day such a beautiful, perfect romance should come to an end.

Alas, my sony cybershot F717 has gone to a new home where it will be loved and given the attention it truly deserves. Ive been told I can still go and visit.

I had it for almost a year to the day and it was the first camera I ever had. Im really pleased with the progress I have made after a year of shooting and hope that I can continue to improve steadily over the next year with rest of the expanding PH photo collective!

Here are a few of my favourite photos that I took with it:

Great shots as ever Matt!

When you said "cybershot" I had visions of it being some crappy little point and shoot, which made me feel very inadequate with the results I got from my compact!

Then I saw this:

And realised it was quite a brute!

edit to add...

still feel inadequate though!

Really? Hmmm, I think you could've done a lot better sonny. Still a helluva lot of room for improvement in your so-called bovine-excrement "photographs" from what I'm seeing...

I nearly died when I read you only picked up your first camera a year ago! Absolutely divine progress, and I really enjoy your photographs. I've only been shooting since September, but at this rate I'm gonna need to sell my soul to catch up with you. Bravo!!

Great pics. Any chance you'd like to share a high res version of the Ferrari pic for the desktop? (Or at least 1600 x 1024) Cheers.
