Seeing other people put their pics and first attempts up, I thought I'd have a bit of a join in

My first attempts at using proper selection tools, masks and all that nonsense, I'm quite pleased....

Very nice pictures, I love all 3

Well done with the photoshopping as well, looks good to my eye

Maybe doing a black 'colour' brush (as opposed to normal) over the glass areas. Not sure.

TVM!

Yeah, I'm not sure about the glass....
Where the windows are tinted and you can tell in the helmets and faces, I tried to keep what's seen through the glass mildly tinted too.
When I made it mono, it just didn't look right, it's still a bit too green in the 911 too.

But hey, that's what 2nd attempts are for...!

Any tips gratefully received.

Excellent work for your first go, very well done

I'm a fan of the "keep subject in colour, desaturate and blur the background" technique (look in my profile).

Works very well, especially with cars.

I must be losing my touch - I can't find anything wrong with any of them... excellent.

You missed a bit of grass through the front and side windows!

Looks good though, I love the tango Exige!

Nice, crisp captures and good panning - like it. Not so sure about spot colour on a trackday photo, but the technique is well executed.
