Canon 760D vs 750D

Anyone able to point out what the difference is between the two please?

About £50 difference in price but after looking at the specs I can't spot the difference.

Been using a 450D for so long I think either will be quite a step up in functionality.

Short answer is 'not a lot' - I had this dilemma a while back and ended up with the 760 which has a few more controls and an electronic levels. It's meant to be more enthusiast oriented, the 750 more happy snapper but really I wouldn't sweat it, the electronic level was the only thing I really wanted from the 760.

Guess I'd rather spend the extra and not need it, than not bother and regret it then.

I keep looking at the more expensive bodies but have tried to set myself a budget. Think the 760D should do.

That was my feeling - unless you take a lot of action shots or wildlife (where a 7D2 might be a good idea) then the 750/760 seemed to be the one to go for as it has the bang up to date sensor and is a bit cheaper and more compact than the 70D or 80D.

As it happens I switched systems (to Fuji) shortly after but it wasn't the fault of the 760!

No direct experience of either, but the top LCD on the 760 would probably win it for me, budget allowing.

Given the launch of the 80D, I'd also think it worth keeping a keen eye on 70D prices too!

Mostly down to the control, 760d is a lot more like the more premium models and nicer to use

I would suggest seriously looking at the current crop of mirrors camera. They are really really good, and the lens are so much cheaper. The Olympus 'Pro' range is really tempting me at the moment

Already invested in Canon lenses so my bed is already made.

Looking to pick up something for my daughter next month though, although nothing as complicated as a DSLR.

That's actually what got me looking again in the first place but the 750/760 are more up to date than the 70D, aren't they? An 80D is more than I'm prepared to pay unfortunately.

What are the main improvements that the new 80D brings to the party?

We want to update our 400D and want to spend 'enough' but not 'too much'...!!

Too big a price hike between the 760D and the 80D, much as I've no doubt the 80D is significantly better. Completely different budget in fact!

Better autofocus, better weather sealing, 100% viewfinder coverage, and most importantly new sensor, 24mp with supposedly much better DR & sensitivity.

So worth the extra over the 70D? I'm after body only, don't need the 18-55mm lens.

As above, I'd be looking to move up to the x0D range, rather than another xx0D camera - even if that means going second hand.

The only advantage for the 70D is weather proofing (but lenses aren't ) and HD video.

Just got the wife a 760D which was an upgrade form her current 600 (from memory) and it was a noticeable improvement in quality, especially in low light situations.

I didn't think the 750/ 760 had micro-focus adjust... It's certainly not a show-stopper, but if you do a lot of shooting with shallow DoF it's something I'd prefer to have on a 'serious' camera if they're around the same price! (I have a 60D - which the miser in me got for very little upon launch of the 70D, and lack of MAF is the only thing that I can imagine upgrading for anytime soon!)
