Just treated myself to a Lacie Silverscreen; its a dinky little USB2 hard drive with s-video etc out that plays DivX, XVid, VOB, MP3, JPG etc etc and comes with a nice slim remote. Chuffed! Copying a load of movies now to see how it copes. Although not the cheapest gizmo, has saved me getting a laptop for player movies

the little beauty also reads .srt files (subtitles) and renders them perfectly to the screen (just like MS media player when running a further utility). Dead chuffed with that. Going to watch the Grudge late tonight ! (orig. Japanese version apparently rather chilling)
