I currently have a 28-80mm wide angle lens for my D700 but I'd like something wider.

Any recommendations, I'd like to spend £200-£250 MAX.

I don't want to go so wide that I get that curved look though (fisheye?).

I know it's probably going to have to be used at this price point but that's fine.

You can probably get a mint used one for under £250.

how wide? is 20mm enough?
I use a D700 myself.
I got a Cosina 19-35mm off the 'bay for around £60. It's okay for what I need.

(The exif data on flickr says the lens is a 20-34 (I feel cheated!)
I might have cropped these images a bit, can't remember.

Before that I also bought an older manual ai or ais 20mm f3.5 from the same place for around £120

There are reviews of both lenses online, the Cosina was also badged as a Vivitar and Tokina. If you want to use filters I don't think the Cosina is any good due to vignetting(?) - it's in the reviews.

Hope that helps.

eta - second hand of course.
