Some panoramic pics of the Peak District
Discussion
I finally managed to give my Hasselblad XPAN a good run out the weekend before last, and after a bit of scanning and stitching in PS have come up with these:
Colours look a lot better in Photoshop, and the light wasn't ideal by the time I got to the top, but I'm quite pleased for a first go

Some great shots there chap. Can't see any evidence of stitching.
I like the contrast between light and dark too and on the top one I think a bigger pic would show off the tree that's just caught the light on the right hand side.
The different colours of the heather have come out really strongly, must be a good lens

Shame about the letter 'B' on that rock)

Nice pix - what angle of view are they, roughly?
I ran out of time to get rid of the "B", but will do it tonight. Lens was 45mm, with a 74.4° angle of view, which is about the same as a 28mm lens in 35mm world.

Who did you use to get digitised? (or was it a crafty digital back of some sort?). I have an X pan, but have tried loads of labs and they all give me cr@p and charge a fortune.
Steve
I then trimmed them into 3 x image strips (6 x 35mm image) and scanned each half of the image in my 35mm film scanner (with some overlap), and then sticthed them together in PS. It's pretty time consuming, but cheaper than a medium format film scanner, and better quality than using a flatbed.

Thanks Ed. What I meant was, what angle of view does the finished panorama represent? At first I thought it didn't look like a panorama due to the aspect ratio, y'see...
