Billingham Backpacks Sees price, faints
Discussion
Anyone seen, or even (dare I ask) rich enough to get one?
I've been using Billingham bags for some time - my big one is near 20 years old - so was quite interested when I came across an ad for the backpacks.
Well after clicking through I've done my heart some damage and bruised my head when I keeled over. I can't even bring myself to type out the prices I've just seen, but no doubt they're top notch....
I guess, unless you're rich enough to buy one, you won't have been allowed to touch one without protective equipment, so it's probably a bit stupid to ask if anyone has handled one.
Anyone?

They do look small for the money. My 555 will take two bodies and a lot of lenses and other kit. Those backpacks won't.No - I mean specifically these backpacks that I hadn't seen before....

You DO know the site is full of wealthy powerfully built Directors don't you?Anyone?
Well no, I didn't actually - and despite being a director I would categorise myself as not fit to direct the traffic in a small car park, but I'm wealthy in everything....except money....

I'm glad you've said that - I feel better ....
Whilst all bags present some sort of compromise, the "traditional" style Billies do work really well, nice touches like the poppers to keep the top opened right up and useful pocket configurations. For a back pack, I've found nothing better than the old Lowpro Slingshot. But I ditched a big one when I realised I loaded it up with so much kit it was a back-breaker. For a light day out the 200 I have is only halfway to complete destruction, so any "NEED" I had is now dissipating

There's a slim chance of me making the price of a rucksack from all my tat....
