Simple Gopro, etc video editor

Find the gopro studio app crashes all the time - anything else super simple for holiday videos?

Mine always crashes all the time despite numerous re-installs (macbook pro). I find iMovie easy enough to use for wac or windows movie maker is pretty simple.

GoPro App, which runs fine on my 2010 iMac, or iMovie here.

windows movie works ok - although cant figure out how to do a simple fade in and out - all transitions seem to be fancy ones!

iMovie on a Mac I've found to do all I need.

Only issue I have is that I can't seem to work out how to get it to accept 1080 / 60 files - just defaults to 720 with the 1080 option greyed out.

Which version of iMovie are you using?

Premier Elements is the best for this, whilst you have to pay for it I can't really fault it for simple stuff: http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/premiere-elements...

Seems to be the latest version if I'm not mistaken.

There's been quite a bit of chat on this amongst other forums; seems it defaults to 720 if there is a clip in the movie that's 720...and the title frames are all 720!

That makes sense, as you can't easily scale up from 720 to 1080.

Was asking about version as the latest one available on my iMac would only do 720 export, but when I got my MacBook the latest version appeared in the App Store and I could do 1080 on both machines.

I use GoPro Studio but it seems to be a real RAM we and gets upset if it can't get enough, however it hasn't crashed 'that' much.
Can't find a way of doing simple text animated though so might look around for something else.
