September 2016 Photo Competition - Detail
Discussion
This months competition is Detail. I'm looking for photos focusing on the finer details of life. Interesting details in everyday things which may often be overlooked by most people.
Rules
The photos taken must be your own work
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
There will be two threads that need starting: The Entries thread to commence same time as Discussion thread. In the Entries thread only one picture should be entered. Any others you wish to discuss should be posted in the Discussion thread.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo due to the PH squash factor. Links to larger versions are permissible.

I'm sure the macro specialists will be along with something considerably better, but until then ...

The tick of a clock. It's happening at every moment on our wrist, but we overlook time - until that is we run out of time.

Mike - can you clarify please, 'everyday things' is what's required rather than just macro in general (eg insects, flowers etc)?
Ta
I hadn't considered that, definitely worth the ask. Mike!Ta

Well, not as many entries as I would have hoped but the ones that did are really good.
The gold medal has to go to Mike and his very detailed and cooperative fly. Congratulations Mike, I'll never get bored of looking at macro shots like this. How did you get the fly to stand so still..?
