I decided to add a couple of L lenses to my bag, but after ringing around this morning, it appears they are out of stock.

No joy with Park Cameras, warehouse express or London cameras. Anyone else suggest a good online retailer?

I know

There are just too many good lenses out there!

100-400L or 28-300L, 15-35L, the new EF-S 60MM macro...

what about York Cameras, just opposite the British Library. They are a Canon Pro shop and always have EVERYTHING in stock...

UK prices are a complete rip off with regards to lenses and memory cards! Buy in the US.

www.adorama.com

I've ordered from them many times and it works like this.

- order on website with your credit card.

- they ship with UPS usually afer a few working days. You can track the parcel on the UPS website.

- when it arrives in the UK, UPS pay the VAT/duty for you.

- when UPS delivers your goods, you pay them the tax + £10 handling fee.

On lenses, memory cards you need to multiky the USD price by 1.22.(VAT + duty)

eg UK price 100-400L = £1175 (Park Cameras)

US price = 1369.95USD (£740.51)

With duty £903, add about £30 for postage/packing.

Hope this helps you save a few ££££
