LED lighting

I'm photographing an outdoor night event in a couple of months and would ordinarily use handheld off camera flash for people shots. I've been looking at these LED lights that seem quite fun - has anyone used them? Manfrotto and Pixapro both offer units at very different prices.

I guess having the continuous lighting will make it easier to focus, and people are less likely to fall over things as they get into position.

Can't speak for Pixapro but I've got quite a bit of Manfrotto stuff which always works and gets the job done.

By coincidence I just watched the latest "weelyimogen" YouTube and they were using a Pixapro for a night shoot. They were not sponsored by Pixapro but thought highly of the unit.

Weeklyimogen is always worth watching, in my considered option
