Carter country..
Discussion
So, after many years of procrastination, I have finally booked a trip to Carter country.
Next April, we will be staying at the Torridon Inn and plan to spend a few days just enjoying the whole experience.
Any thoughts on what we should or shouldnt miss ?
Flying to Inverness and driving cross country to Torridon.
Sadly, only three nights.

Good call
Top tips...
Get up early, go out, take pics, THEN go back for breakfast.
Hotel do lots of activities... clay shooting/kayaking/archery etc
If you're into fine dining, book for a meal in the Hotel - and check out the whisky bar.
A trip with TorridonSeatours.com - FAB if the weather is good.
A trip over the bridge to Skye then down to Elgol.
Eilean Donan Castle is an hour away (also near the Skye Bridge).
As mentioned, the Bealach na Ba and lunch at Applecross.
I'm sending you a link to a pdf of a booklet I made, giving good photo locations.
Have fun.

Got back last night.
Cant say much other than superlatives.
If you have seen Steves pics, than Im not going to even try and emulate him, but the scenery is stunning to say the least.
Go and visit, if only once.....
The Bealach is another level tho, my god what a road.
Drive it both ways, but I think for first timers, going from Applecross offers the biggest wow factor.
Stunning part of the world and extremely glad to have had a glimpse of it.
Thanks Steve for the inspiration - very jealous of you manor !

Glad you had fun. That's a great pic of Ann's house! Were you on the other side of the loch with a long lens? (Near Gordon's posh gaff - octagonal roof?)

I believe that if you choose the deluxe package Mr Carter will ferry you about in his Aston Next April, we will be staying at the Torridon Inn and plan to spend a few days just enjoying the whole experience.
