I'm getting weary of hunting around the net for CF prices. (And I really would like to save up for a Coolwalker or LS-2000.)

Anybody found any stunningly good prices.

Not necessarily chasing speed, really need a second 1Gb though.

Definitely check out ebuyer, keep an eye out for Kingston SLC (or Elite Pro, same thing), very under-rated cards.

eBay? I have bought from this seller before (won his very first auction I think!) and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. He also has a 1Gb CF for sale right now. http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZaldridge2005

ALthpugh in an auction for a Jumpdrive it says

'Do you have a picture??'
'I don't put pictures up becouse all my stuf is new and if you know what it is you know what it looks like.'

Not overly helpful!

True, but then if you are selling a lot of brand new items, the people requesting pictures of stuff are most probably timewasters! If they had any common sense they would know it is quicker to go to the manufacturers website and look at a picture

Why you would want a photo of brand new flash memory etc I do not know! Second hand maybe to see if it exists/isn't too bashed up etc.

Just my opinion, personally I would probably send them a generic manufacturers photo for good measure.

Well I managed to get one off ebay, after all. Not too confident about stuff on there since I always seem to find items going for more than you can get them elsewhere.

Kingston Elite 1Gb - arrived today, hardly used, seems to be OK and under 38 squids including P&P. It's noticeably slower in reading to the PC than the Lexar, but seems perfectly capable of eating up big meaty RAW files at a similar rate in camera.......

Thanks for your ideas, folks!

Now - back to ebay, just missed out on a 60mm micro.......

Anything under £200 is good. They're pricey little beasties!

218 from slittyeyesphotoshoppeehongkongphooey brand new and I've just seen one disappear at 195 s/hand. I reckoned that 160-180 would be a good price.

Thinking of the dual possibilities of a macro with metering (as opposed to PK13 mounted 85mm, which only shuts down to F16) and a useful portrait jobbie, all with the same 62mm filter thread as some of my current glass.

Whatcha reckon? Good for the odd bid of general work?
