Large Carry Case
Discussion
After the demise of my 5D, and being replaced with the Mark IV as well as going by the logic of new body must mean new lens and picking up the 70-200 II 2.8 I am now looking for a way to carry that setup without taking out a full backpack of gear. Previously I've taken camera and lens separately however that's hassle and not ideal on the beach, boat etc.
Any suggestions please?

I've got two Billinghams and a Tamrac Slingshot.
The Slingshot (200) is too small for a Nikon body and MkII 70-200 fitted. But has the benefit of a pull-out waterproof/water resistant plastic cover (like a shower cap) and is crude but effective.
Going for a bigger Slingshot - which I have done - is a poison chalice of an answer; because what one then does is pile it up with kit until it's too heavy and a pain in the Aston.
Personally the little Billingham Hadley is just big enough for (either of my) body plus 300mm f/4, then two front pockets for battery, wallet, shades, 'phone as well. There's a limit to how water- and sand-proof it might be, but adequate protection for relatively careful types.
Billies live for ever, so would be my choice. But they are a bit like the Astons of the photobag world......

Had the same problem having just got back into using an SLR.
Used to use a Billingham 335 for my Pentax kit and was one reason why I went over to a compact camera as was finding all the kit to much to carry.
I've just gone Billingham Packington but also liked one of the Amazon basics bags that was £20
