Hi All
Just sorting some pix from a shoot yesterday.
In some of the pix I want to neutralise the background or have it as a plain colour. From the attached you can see have far i have got however where you get close to the strands of hair especially just above her left shoulder i run into a difficulty.
Is there a tool within PS CS where I can pick out a colour and change it en masse.
many thanks for your time in responding

Not sure about PS but I know that PSP has a "colour replacer" tool where you can just select two colours, set a tolerance and then paint away and it'll change one to the other, leaving other things intact.

That doesn't help you (sorry) but it can be done so I'd be serprised if it wasn't a feature in PS.

(BTW I did like the one posted earlier too...)

I tend to either:

1. Play around with blending modes (Colour or Overlay) sometimes this works great, but you do end up damaging the original colours

2. Plan B - the fiddly way. Use the background eraser tool and play with the tolerence setting (start around 30%)

I'd be interested to hear of better ways too!

You hardly notice the background with a look like that.....

...er, sorry, nothing new to add. Except to say that link is useful - and mostly makes a lot of sense. The only thing I can't get on with is the blasted Magnetic Lassie Dog of a Thing. I keep reading about it (Evening, Dummies, Interwebby) but just can't work with it!!!

Could do with a comprehensive set of links to all these different PS tips, couldn't we? The more I seem to learn about PS (which wouldn't fill the back of a small postage stamp yet) the more I realise there's 99 ways to do just about anything!!!

Is that fingerprint-like pattern on the girl's top what you call "moire"?
