And on the way back home saw this guy:




I think they are a little grainy. Got back and realised the iso was set to 800. Must remember to check all camera settings before using it!

Very impressed with the macro mode of the Sigma lens.

Grainy?

Well:

a) not noticeable at these sizes
b) a bit of grain gives some "character" to shots anyway (in my book)
c) you used the benefit to get them sharp and shake-free

Very nice shots i'd say. The colours look nice and vivid in the dull light we've had today. What lens was it and was that for canon or nikon?

Canon 350D with Sigma 70-300 APO Macro II.

1st Dslr so learning as I go.

Cheers, it seems to have a nice (word for the quality of the out of focus background that begins with B, i think ) as well.
