for anyone out there who uses a 1D that can alter the JPG quality settings, what setting do you have it on? It comes on 8 as a default, so I need to have a play to see if 9 or 10 are worth it. You guys probably all use RAW anyway so I probably won't get an answer here anyway...
8 seems fine, and I see no difference going above that. If you read the 1DmkII review on dpreview, Phil A seems to find that even much more compression gets good results. I can't see the 1DsmkII being much different.
just done a few tests, looks like 8 is the best option. But 7 and even 6 are pretty very good too so I'm tempted to go down a notch, maybe. we'll see...
MY 1DMKII is set to 8 but I do take most of my shots in RAW
