looking for a ps filter

a colleague of mine wants to find a filter that will recreate the effect that you get in pop art where the picture is made up of dots of varying sizes, like an enlarged comic book - I'm sure you know th eone. Does anyone know of such a filter, or at least know what the effect is called so I can look for it?

Don't have photoshop here so can't test it but a quick google give this:

filter -> pixelate -> color halftone

then play around with dot sizes.

Or apparently this works:

image -> mode -> bitmap and then choose "halftone screen" with the option of "round"

thats the right effect - but its not in colour!
