I'm in the throws of deciding whether to go for a 350d or d70. I won't start the debates going, that's not what I need to know!
I see I can get a D70 + 18-70 kit for £549.99

I know the firmware upgrade will give most of the features of the D70s, except for the larger screen.
I there any reason why I should get a D70s over a D70?
edit: Just noticed the wildings stock is graded (e.g. on sale and returned to nikon so may have marked boxes)

Hi Size,
I don't really think it's worthwhile to get an "s". Except for the screen, there's the wired remote connection. That would be nice, but when I had to replace my previous D70 (a short submersion did not agree with it - don't ask!) I decided the about 200-odd Euro difference (not including the actual wired remote cable, that'll no doubt set you back another few tenners when it becomes available) was not justified and the price drop for the D70 because the 70s's launch was a nice occasion to get another D70 and save the difference for this uncurable disease that I've contracted - lens lust.
So, get a D70, they're cheap now. As for the display, bigger is nicer but if I understand well the resolution's the same so bigger won't help that much.
Best regards,
Maarten
