Anyone dealt with these people?

Seems to me that this is the best way to go for a reasonably priced SB800; just don't want to get fleeced...

Also, does anyone have any experience of this lense:

Looks like potentially a good quality lense? Can't quite stretch to the ED DX AF-S VR nikor I really want - this could be a good stopgap?

Steve,

I got my Sigma 100-300/f4 last week. I've had one outing with it and so far I'm very happy. My copy is extremely sharp and fast focusing with minimal hunting and it feels very solid and well built. If I'd had the money I might have bought the 120-300/f2,8 instead, but at more than twice the cost (at least here in Sweden) I couldn't justify the expense and most of the time I won't need the extra f-stops anyway. It's a fairly big lens and it does get a bit heavy to carry after a couple of hours.

Take a look here: http://rejsa.nu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19477 I shot all these images with the Sigma 100-300.

Cheers Magnus,

Yes just read a review of the 2.8 and it sounds a fine lense, but I really don't see myself needing the extra stops enough to pay twice the price (its a lot more here too). f4 across the range sounds pretty good to me anyway - at £430+p&p could be a perfect all rounder.

Love the images - they are really nice and crisp - have they had much post processing?

Steve, I'll bring the Canon version of the 120-300 along tonight if you like. You can get an idea of weight and size of the thing then.

Light and Small are not words that you'll be using....

UK lenses are available at £549 from here
www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_4_409_40911&products_id=99539

If you get stung for import duty you'll be looking at a similar price.
