Canon MV830 advice please
Discussion
I'm looking at the MV830 for a good price and it has the features I think I might need.
1 DV in
2 Analog in for bullet cam
3 16-9 feature
Its for trackday use.
But it has mjpeg out rather than mpeg output. I think this will cause me problems if I use something like Premier for editing.
I'm also looking to play with the Race Technologies DL1 and they have a video overlay mode.
Any comments on this camera of any other suggestions?

To get the DV in, and AV in, you'll need any of the MV range with an i at the end. I run an MV650i mated to a RF Concepts bullet cam, and it works a real treat. Ive never had any problems either when it came to editing it on my iBook. the quality has always been pretty good. i would also recommend taking a look at drive data, as they offer loads of different packages as well - www.drivedata.com/
i just went for the basic package that RF Concepts do - www.rfconcepts.co.uk/helmet_cameras.htm
it cost about £150 including a few extras (which i added) like an extra velcro mount, extra glass, and cigarette lighter power supply.
Its a fantastic piece of kit too, well worth every penny
