OK guys, this is the challenge.
to counterpoint the dark and oily industrial, we shall have music. BUT.........
i understand that to describe a blue sky to a blind man it is silk, i'd like this challenge to be an image that describes music, in any form.
use this thread to post your musings (sorry) and i'll post the final thread in the last week of the month for your pics.

good luck guys and gals.

Great choice!

I think I may actually enter this month - so I can spend even more time in the pub listening to a few gigs

I might have a go with this one if that's OK?

So... describes music eh? Blimey, that's a huge brief... plenty of scope for interpretation...... [wanders off, absent-mindedly].......

Hmm, music.

Had a few ideas but I think they're all 'sound' instead of music (blurry speaker with sharp ping-pong ball bouncing about in it, etc.).

Music.

I may come up with something, you never know.

not far from the point, would describe sound visually to a deaf man
i'm not going to get to pedantic about it i'm just hoping to get a good mix and some good pics with some interesting perspectives from the very talented people who freqeunt this site

Is that a reference to what he does to music, or are you thinking of Michael Hutchence?

Funnily enough I thought Michael Hutchence when I saw it. Then I thought I'd probably rather hang myself than listen to Mick Hucknall, so maybe it could describe both!

Out of interest Steve, did you take that shot yourself?

Not my pic no, it's just the best way to describe his voice to a deaf person - also, what I want to do to myself when I hear him.

Ah!, it's actually a very telling story.
Let me guess, American guy ( the shades and funny dyed hair ) Probably a famous country singer. Is he about to sing the national anthem for the opening of the indy 500?

Close but no Cigar. It's Tony Christie at Rockingham and instead of saying "Gentlemen, start your engines" he said "Gentlemen start your cars"

Bit quiet today so I thought I'd resurrect the flagging competition thread with an old image of mine:

Not my finest hour but hopefully it'll kick this thread into life again - come on snappers, get your music themed images posted up then!

Nice pic (it really IS old isn't it!)

Photos of music... hmm, think I'll wait for the music of photos' thread. A lot easier methinks.
