Thanks for the headsup, fascinating programme!

Would've been nice if they had a bit more of the guys talking about the cameras though, I missed the first part but I didn't catch why the older guy didn't get on with the dSLR.

Good point, I mis-read your post...

However, the BBC are introducing "Watch Again" on their website later this year, they are just putting in the MASSIVE storage to support it at the moment. No, I am not joking.

All BBC progs apparently will be available to download off the web and watch, forever...

Just watched this and what a thoroughly enjoyable programme.

To anyone who hasn't watched it I can recommend it heartily! The theme seems to be take 3 photographers, and give them digital kit. However it's not that straightforward - episode one saw the large format landscape photographer battling with a mobile phone camera!

It was fun watching him stick the phone on top of what can only be described as a MASSIVE tripod! Despite the limitations of the camera/phone he pulled off some stunning images.

The reportage style photographer went from a fully manual old film camera to a D2x, and struggled at first, feeling the massive nikon was a bit conspicuous but still came up with the goods.

Finally a sports photographer used to working with top end digital kit was given a consumer compact to use (canon S70). He appeared to be a consumate professional as despite the limitations which he found with the camera he got some great pictures.

Can't wait for sunday to see the next episode.
