I'm a cheapskate so tend to burn images onto a DVD and then everyone can sit round a TV and look at the pictures together on a DVD player.

It's a much better way of sharing photos than all handing round a bunch of 6x4s!

I've had one for a couple of months now, and it's very good. Recent magazine reviews have agreed with this, as it's come out top in several comparisons that I've seen recently.

Screen quailty is excellent, and at the moment the best you can get. Battery life isn't amazing, but is better than most of the other alternatives and you can buy spares for it anyway.

Copying speed is also very good compared to the other options out there, and it's got a nice solid feel to it too.

All in all, if you want something to bung in a pocket or bag to backup a day's images onto in the field, and then use it to review your pics later it's perfect.

It displays RAW files, although you can't zoom in on these or display as a slideshow, although you can do both with jpg images under ~9 MB in size.

It's excellent Steve, I can thouroughly recommend it.

2 tips -
get one from a shop if you can (or somewhere with no quibble returns) and view before buying, mine has a single hot pixel, warranty is only for 6 or more.
The AV lead required for viewing on TV isn't included so if you plan to do that (I do for family stuff), you'll need one of those.

You might find other boxes with similar or slightly smaller screens but they probably won't be at the same resolution as this one.
