Was out in the garden again after work watching the cat being lazy. She perked up when this little fella paid her a visit though ;)

I was experimenting with the camera settings (still learning :D) so this was the best of the bunch. A particularly bad one was when I got more of the washing line post than anything else :wobble: :D

Not overly exciting but thought I'd share it ;)

That's a lucky shot indeed. What I find surprising is that the wing feathers seem to have a general, rather than directional, blur.

I tool a similar photo a while back. As someone has already said, quite lucky to get a photo like that.

Good work Hanslow!

Why do you think that is? Was the shutter speed too slow @ 1/1000? Could it be that I caught the motion at the transition from an up to a down swing?

Yep, I think the wings must have just started their down beat as the shutter released.

Not posting this because it's a good photo (it's not), but just because it's funny.

I was just putting the lawnmower away last night, and glanced up at the house, and saw something odd on the spare bedroom window. Not a pigeon, but evidence of the recent presence of one!!

Got the camera out and took a few snaps

And after a bit of photoshop tinkering, you can see a little more clearly...

Apologies for the poor quality, but I have no idea how to get a decent photo of dust on glass on a sunny evening!!

That is so bizarre.....

Why? Because we got up this morning and noticed exactly the same thing on one of our patio doors. How spooky is that? Is this some pact by pigeons to fly into glass on the same day of the year?

The pigeon I took the photo of is a young 'un that has been using our garden as a test bed for flying so I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same one that wanted a closer look at the inside of our house

You have to upload the pics somewhere (fotango, photobucket, etc.) and then you link to the image that you uploaded by doing something like:

[ pic ]www.lalala.com/lala/pic.jpg[ /pic ]

but without the spaces between the pic and square brackets, and with the correct URL of the pic you want to display.

When writing your post, if you click on the Formatting Codes on the left hand side, it also shows you there what to do
