Flora and Fauna

Visiting some friends the other day in deepest Sussex - the sort of village you just don't find by accident. Wonderful country garden feel and loads of bees around. I had too little time to take many shots and they were all a bit hit and miss - set max macro, hold out the camera with the lense looking like it might be pointing in vaguely the right direction and at sort of the right distance and hope the bee didn't move too quickly and the exposure might work.
Got a couple that would have been great but out of focus - then this, which I thought was quite lucky really.
Not sure how it will come across but the detail on the original is excellent. Pity the subject is somewhat chopped but this is as out of the camera (Pentax S5i)other than for a touch of brightening on the gamma and a re-size.

Looks like some great detail in the wings - bet it looks good full size?
Yep. There are specks of pollen everywhere.
I'll see what I can get from an edit. Initial attempts seem to indicate a large degredation of quality when saving for this type of detail!
Must try some more editors but short of time today and then not around until Wednesday.
