I’ve got masses of old colour negs, it takes forever to go through them, that got me thinking is there a quick way?
Is there a way to view them from a flat bed scanner.
It would be a lot easier to pic the ones to then scan properly.
Just get a proof sheet type view on screen in colour not negative.

You need a scanner with a transmissive cover, not just a reflective one, as the light needs to travel through the film to the sensor. Epson have a couple but you're looking at £200ish which is probably too much just for a contact sheet. Maybe a second hand one?

Or try ebay.

If it's just to get an idea of the images before scanning, I've found a white image displayed on a laptop or tablet screen as a background, and a mobile phone camera with the colours inverted is good enough as a preview.
