This month's topic is Above the Horizon

This can be taken as broadly as you want, but should be something taken looking upwards or at a high angle.

Rules:

The photos taken must be your own work and can be taken at anytime, but please only get out with your gear if you have safe opportunity etc.

The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.

You can only submit one, and only one photo.

The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for the following month and judges it at the end of the month.

Entries and discussion on this single thread please.

All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.

Photos entered can be as large as you like, although bear in mind if too large, it may not be possible to see the whole image on some screens. Links to larger versions are permissible.

Looks like a quiet one this month.... So - just to prevent Havoc winning by default, but also keeping the Vulcan theme.... ;-)

When was the photo taken? There was the Lyrids meteor shower that peaked on the 22nd April (started 13th April).

Most probably. I'm assuming a long (10/20s or more?) exposure time, which would fit with a low-orbit satellite - a meteor would travel that distance in a couple of seconds.

A couple of years back in Tanzania. 30sec exposure. Apologies for the thread derail.

This one's from a while ago.
It's above the horizon, but not by much!

The pilot is Paul Bonhomme, who I believe came 2nd.

Thanks! Only just realised I'd not put something in on the last day of the month. This one was taken in New York, standing in the middle of a road somewhere.
