August competition thread

After a bit of thinking, I wanted a topic like last months which was very easy interpret in a number of ways.

So here we go, hopefully this will inspire as much interest as last month:

As far as "rules" go - I've got nothing against old photographs, they keep the thread going - but I will be favourably influenced by stuff taken this month!
