406 jnr has bought himself a camera. Yes, he has come to the light side - where the farce is stronger - with a D100. Told him he needs to get a PH logon and join the CLUD.

Interesting choice - why did he choose the D100 over its newer siblings?

He thought it felt better in his hands and also added "Pops, if I need a D70 then I can borrow yours. I will be borrowing your lenses anyway" :yikes" I thought. Still, thats yet another CLUD member. The Dark Sdie are trailing well behind now

But that has the wrong name on it. You belong in the Dark Sdie. This is the light side - where the Farce is stronger.

Hence the balance!

Surely if I had bought one of those nasty Nickon things that would have tipped the pendulum further in the wrong direction .

Hi all, To answer your question I borrowed both dads D70 & a friends D100 for the weekend and found both produced similar excellent results , I found the D70 easier to use and its menu system a tad more intuitive but also thought the D100 seemed much more substantial in build quality,This alone swayed the decision for me as the camera will be used almost exclusively for sports photography(football) and in a house with three active children I need something as robust as possible.

As it stands I still plan to use my Sony F717 for a lot of my snaps and photos of the children because of the excellent results its given me (ive had pictures printed in magazines and the papers and even won "conservatory photo of the year" )but who knows what ill do when ive had a good go with the D100.

I look forward to joining your clud when i take delivery.

I must admin the vertical grip on the D100 makes it a winner.
