Hi Guys,

Just done my first shoot for evo magazine, which will also be my first published piece. Im really proud to have achieved this after only getting my first slr in december. I also assisted tim kent last week on a studio car shoot which was an awesome experience.

Im soooo happy! :cloud9:  :cloud9:  :cloud9:

Matt

ps. Probably a good time to thank all the people who have lent me cars to practice on and srider for lending me his kit with what must be an annoying frequency!

Well done - that's straight into the big time. First SLR to glossy mag in a few months must mean great talent; just make sure you get your name in the front, and tell them it couldn't have been done without your chums from the PH Photography forum

Nice one Matt, I was thinking about this yesterday, sounds like it went well!

Are you pleased with the results?

O.T. - Did you get my email after our conversation the other week?

edit to add

I beat you being published by one month - one of my pics won "picture of the month" in Bike magazine. Not quite in the same league though

Congrats, I did my first mag shoot 6 months after buying my first camera as well But it was certainly not as big as Evo

Welcome to the world of worry when you finally see how it looks in print I always cringe thinking "I would have upped the saturation on that, cropped that, sharpened that" etc, but then again Evo must be among the most capable hands in the business. Do they deal with digital often? It would seem not many mags do still, hence they don't always know how to process them properly without messing up the colours etc.

From the pictures I've seen of yours, you totally deserve it mate. All the best - I look forward to pointing out "a mate of mine from PH took that one" - despite having never met!

Oh, and in answer to what did he shoot?... "his load" I would imagine when offered an Evo shoot.

Congrats!

Joining the annals with the likes of Andy Morgan is no easy feat!

So, will we be seeing you riding shotgun on one of Evo's many continental epics?
