Just had this back from Falshtrax
Hello:
FlashTrax uses a small amount of battery power even when powered off, to monitor various switches, peripherals, etc. for "instant-on" features. As such, the battery can eventually run down in a week or two even if it is not in use. To maximize the battery power available when you are ready to use it, simply remove the battery from FlashTrax when it is not in use for long periods.
A tip: When not using your FlashTrax, you can remove the battery, flip it over and carefully and partially insert it back into FlashTrax, just enough to hold it in place but not enough to stress any of the connectors. In this configuration, FlashTrax will not drain the battery at all.
