It was really REALLY blue here this morning.

Apologies to GetCarter for stealing his thread title.
By "this morning" I actually mean 3 days ago, and by "here" I mean the picturesque fishing village of Beer in Devon on the south coast.
I was inspired by GetCarter's thread to try to take a decent landscape. Not sure I managed, but I think it's ok considering the subject, and thought I'd post for critique.

and here's another I quite liked:

The first one, I find the concrete at the bottom right draws the eye a bit too much (imho).
The second one I really like, very nice colours.
Do you know what the terrible thing is... until you mentioned it I didn't even notice the concrete at the bottom.
what a moron!
With the first one all you have to do is crop the bottom off just above the concrete and you have a good letterbox-shaped panorama.
With the second, technically you really need to get rid of that flare spot, but artistically I think it doesn't actually look too bad there and adds something to the sky. You could try turning the boat around to face the other way or moving it to the left hand side of the photograph so that it is facing in to the image rather than out of it. Don't forget to move its wake too. Certainly you've captured the blueness well though !
