Hi got two courses running at my local community college. Photoshop for digital imaging and digital photography.
Problem is they are both on the same night. would like to do both but obviously cant.

if it was you which one would you pick?

Depends what you want to learn! Going by name alone, the first teaches you photoshop, the second teaches how to take photographs.

If it's photography you want to learn, it has to be the second.

I was in the same position, I realised that basic fact remains that Photoshop can only enhance a decent photograph. So I'm hoping to get a place on a C&G photography course starting in September.

Photoshop for digital imaging sounds more like learning photoshop to make digital images (I know I've just repeated the name of the course!) but I suspect it won't be about refining photographs - instead it'd be making images/illustrations using Photoshop. It'd be worth checking with the college tutor directly.

I'd go for the other one personally. Having said that, I'm also planning on doing the C&G Photography course.
