I'm going to a track day as the "photographer" (Simpo's url is a more accurate description ;)) next month and was wondering if anyone knew of shops (in the North East or that do so via Mail) that would hire out a dSLR for a weekend, well a Sunday, but one assumes it'd have to be the full weekend?
I'm guessing for the most part that if a company does it'll be > £60 a day (I seem to remember that figure for some reason) which is too much - I'm not bothered about it been the lastest model, just one which I can take decent pictures with, i.e. a decent lens.
cheers.

You weren't planning on borrowing mine then?
For those not in the know this is an excellent opportunity not only to gatecrash his thread and thereby extract justice but remind you that the aforementioned URL is www.blokewithacamera.co.uk . That's 'cos it started out rather tongue-in-cheek but progressed beyond expectations
OK docevil, back to you!
Stephan - If we can organise a meet before then, you can borrow the D1x (notice the '1' not '2') with the 70-300 ED (Good track lens). I'm as far east as Penrith / Carlisle (picking up yet another motor)next week if that's any good.
We'd have to do another meet in a month so you can get it back to me mind!
e mail me if you're interested.
