Amazing image IMO, would a fish eye lens be used to obtain that effect?

cheers

David or Peter very kindly left the exif in, it was at 10mm whatever breed it happened to be...!

Ask them for the purple TVR ones...

it was taken with a 10.5mm DX nikkor fisheye, on a D100. and yes, it does need a bit of rotating!

im not a fan - it's a bit soft, and i'm not to bothered with fisheye anyway. which is why i don't own a canon one.

You're right, they're rubbish.

Tell you what, I'll take it off your hands for a fiver... can't say fairer than that?

You can distort an image in photoshop but you will never reliably reproduce the effect of a fisheye - simply because a non-fisheye lens isn't recording as much information as the angle of view is totally different.

Trust me i've tried!

i know this isn't what you meant, but that pic is photoshopped - it's a composite of two pictures, one exposed for the dashboard and the other for the sky
