...or two racetracks, to be pedantic. It's been a while since I posted anything, so I thought I'd share a few of my favourite pics of the year so far from the track and pits.

Thanks guys! I use a Fuji S2 Pro and most of the images above was shot with a Sigma 100-300.

Great stuff. The thing that impresses me most is the number of styles, showing a true grasp not only for camera technique but processing techniques too.

Far too many German cars for my liking, but great images!

how is this affect achieved? It looks like the standard spot colour but with a slight blurring/blending on the edges of the car.

Must admit, the on-track stuff are stunning images!

Magnus,

these are crap, im a bit disappointed to be honest.

first one isnt straight.
you chopped the side off the car on the fourth one.
you cant read what it says on the 7th.
8th is all blurry.
Back trumpets are out of focus on the last one.

There is no hope for you.

I love these. Best stuff ive seen on here for ages. Good to see you back... thought you had been snowed in permanently.

Matt

Looks to me like some work with layers/gaussian blur.

It's like a soft focus glamour portrait of a 50's TV star. I love it.

I have to say these are just fab. For some reason my favourite is the blurred 911 against a sharp background, kind of reverse panning

Inspiring stuff

I'm with Matt on this. The pre-preparation on some of them leaves a lot to be desired! All sort of crud lying around on the track for example - I mean if you can't be bothered to go out there with a broom between shots I don't know why you bother. At the very least you could edit the offending marks in post-processing to achieve the nice smooth - almost bland - surrounding 'detail' we have come to expect for this sort of shot.

And the one of the lime green thing. For heavens sake you could have made sure all the metal bits were at least painted. As for the oil leak or whatever it is - well, what can I say. In the UK they make entire TV series' about that level of dirt. Surely the green colour would have easily allowed a match to clone the fithy scars away?

I quite like the Clio but the colours look a bit washed out. You might be able to recover some semblance of reality using Microsoft Paint though.

Must try harder.

Signed

Enough to make me give up even trying!

The BMW 3 Series is fantastic, and with the sunlight working against you as well. Awesome stuff.

Oi!!! You're just cranky cause EVO messed up your name

Seriously though, that's pretty unfortunate. I think they owe you a beer and (more importantly) another shoot.
