Are you asking as the person getting married or the photographer?
The reason I ask is because if you're the latter then they should give you the list - if you're the former, this is the approximate list we had;
Obviously, all included both bride and groom in each picture and what was taken for the bride with her family was then taken for the groom and his;
Bride Parents (two sets as parents divorced)
Groom Parents
Bride (then Groom) Grandparents
B&G Parents and Grandparents
B&G and siblings (with their partners & family)
Groom with best man and ushers
Bride with bridesmaids
Bride with all her family
Groom with all his
B&G with friends
Everyone
Then, obviously the B&G on their own at various different places around the venue.
If you think of it as you with each family - starting with parents, then grandparents, then sibilings, then extended family, then friends - the groupings kind of suggest themselves.
It depends how many photo's you're getting too. You don't want a million of people you've invited because you feel you should if the number is limited - be selfish, you're paying!!

Have a chat with simpo two, he did the photography at my brother-in-laws wedding. Very relaxed shots, lots of candid ones as well. A few are on his website, my daughter is the bridesmaid on there, we were chuffed with the shots of her.
