Holiday images
Discussion
The holiday lens thread (and GetCarter's pics) got me thinking, between us we must have some cracking shots of foreign climes - I'd love to see them to dream about the places I can visit in the future :)
By "myself" I've only ever been to Egypt, but I humbly submit a couple of pictures that I took last year (not that great I'll admit) :
Sunset over the Red Sea, most of them look like this.

I guess you know what these are.

The longest straight I have ever driven down.

I love the sunlight and the snow in this photo. I'm somewhat less enamoured with the rossya (or however you spell it) ugly hotel in the background. Thankfully they are knocking it down. This church is near Red Square in Moscow, on the edges of the really nice Kitai Gorod district I think.
And I am really pleased with this photo of the sunset along Nevsky Prospekt in St Petersburg. I had to stand in the road with all those cars racing towards me to take this! It was rather scary. I like how the overhead cables are sort of a feature of the picture rather than a nuisance as they normally are.
I have more but they are on my PC in sussex. I need to bring them home with me this weekend
I like everybody else's photos too.
edit: oh yeah, more photos (not very good at all, I didn't really have a clue how to compose a photo a few years ago) at www.dange.co.uk

From the point and shoot:
Jaipur, India
Sunset in Pushkar, India
And the shiny new D70
French Pyrenees
And I hope to have a whole heap more pics when we go away in a couple of weeks (www.hereandthereinafrica.co.uk/index.html))
>>Edit to sort formatting (And to add that I hope I get a lot better at this photography lark with a bit of practice
)
