I am heading off to USA next month for a couple of weeks and am looking fot travel insurance. I was just going to book with Elephant as usual, but I see that they have a restriction of £200 on any one item. Insure and Go is £250. No use for a D70 + lens.
Any suggestions on who to use?

I used to use AUA Insurance when I was travelling a lot just for specific camera insurance. Don't think they have a website but Yellow Pages says the number is 01603 628034.

Bit of a minefield.... Does your home insurance already cover you for the gear away from home?

yep, get it added onto your home insurance, that's what i did. Personal items each up to the value of £1000 are covered on my policy, cost me a couple of quid a month.

Good idea. I think it may be covered, but I'll check.
