I'm starting to get into using PSP, however, I have no idea what I'm doing.

My current problem is Cropping a BIG photo down to a smaller one, i've got the crop rectangle in place, and the help menu says 'click the tick' but wheres the tick?????

TIA
Stuart

I haven't used PSP for a while but if you double clicked in the cropped area it would crop it.

Any more 'idiot hints' available, I'm new to it as well.

easier to use the selection tool (the arrow with the dashed box) and then hit shift-r or use the menu's "Image->crop to selection"

Took me a while to find it as well.

It appears in the toolbar menu.

Top left corner of the image you are working on, up into the toolbar, and you should find it.

Hope that helps (and I'm so glad it's not just me )

It's an image manipulation app for those that don't have a "Snide" version of Photoshop.

which is a hell of a lot faster to load images, much easier and more logical to use (when learning) and produces just as good results IMO. It isn't of course as widely supported and in later versions has lost it's way slightly in terms of usability, but PSP7.04 is all I need at the moment

I've got PSP5 on my PC at work and it's bleedin brilliant seeing as it came free on a cover disk .

I've had it for years and have always been a huge fan of PSP. It's where I go when I want to do something quickly and easily.
