Why dont you ring Sony uk....or even a Sony shop. They might help you.

I'd guess that if it fits physically, and the voltage and current are the same, it shoud be OK (but don't blame me if it goes pop!). mAH can be different, it's just an indication of how much charge it holds.

I went from a NP FP50 to a NP FP70..I think. Cant remember. It lasted longer.
