Cars and Photography aren't my only passions. A bit of the old power kiting is good for a buzz.
Twas a lovely crisp day yesterday, so I popped over a local park in Southend and took a few pics of some mates in action.

Some fantastic action shots here - you've really captured it well. Extreme indeed - i'd crap myself that I was going to blow away! Mind you i'm only a skinny guy so I probably would...

I don't know if it would work because of the amount of movement but have you experimented with some longer shutter speeds / panning shots to see if you can get some blur in the background?

Good point. Think I was shooting at 1/500. Next time I'll try and vary the speed. I was going to try lying on the floor with my wide angle, and let them jump over me, but the wind died. Probably a good thing in the end after I thought about it

Solent, between Cowes and Lee-on-the-Solent. You can see Cowes in the background of the first one.

I've been reading this forum for ages, but finally I can post some of my own work. Pictures taken a couple of months ago in Shingle Street - Suffolk. I was quite pleased with them, but feel free to comment.

I was in Sardinia last week covering the PKRA World Tour regretably there was only 1 day of decent action. Dobbo I experimented with low shutter speeds, panning using a monopod and a Nikon 200-400f4 VR and have (imho) some interesting results.
Will put a few images up tomorrow if I find the time
