it's here...

first effort;

probably not the best use of 16MP. I would guesstimate that the pinhole size was 0.6mm for this one, the ideal is 0.3mm. So I made a smaller hole, this was the result

Much better, but where is the falloff i was looking for :( . the crap in the bottom corners is platic from the body cap i am using. I have since enlarged that hole and it is gone. I have also now nicknamed my camera Dyson - I had no idea how much dust as in there, so that's another :(

Off to pick up my IR filter now, will have to combine the two of these at some stage as well

Is the second one straight out of the camera? How long was the exposure?

Looks like fun but since my sensor is already covered in crap I don't think I'll invite more trouble and play myself...

I have the horrible feeling you've just inadvertently insulted Mr Bacchus180's wife...

well, i think i can safely draw the conclusion that IR filters and pinholes dont work very well. This was an 8 minute exposure

shame

Take your time, follow the instructions & you'll be fine.

I used the chilli-pix pecpads and they work brilliantly.

three swabs later...

looking...ok...but there is quite a lot of crap in the top left and righ corners that it almost imposible to shift because there is no space around th eedges of a full frame sensor

dobbo - the house is the parental stack

here is an IR self portrait. How come the picture is not very sharp (not visible at this size). I assumed IR pics would come out as sharp as normal ones, or am i wrong? And I do know about the different focussing for IR, that's not the problem here

Maybe 'cos IR has a longer wavelength?
