Are the bags worth the money? I’m not fussed on the price. I just want something that will last years.

If I was paying £400 I wouldn't buy it on mere recommendation.

I've bought various bags over the years, from small to v.large and for me, the most important factor is comfort. I have a Think Tank (Mindshift). Well made but, vitally, it is the most comfortable bag I've every used. Might not suit you.

For those prices you have to try it on. Camera shops will carry a range of bags as the margins are high. The one you're asking about is stocked by Park Cameras. Try one, or rather try a selection.

I store my cameras gear in a backpack. It's massive. I hang it up in my office and take bits out when I require them. It's cheap. I've had it for years and the zips still work without problem. I sometimes take it out when I can't fit everything in my Mindshift. It's not as comfortable, but it was about a third of the price. Value for money is excellent.

This is my large bag. I got it on offer. I have no criticisms. I've carried my gear in it for four hours or so and the only problem was sore hips.

My range of bags & rucksacks are predominantly from Crumpler. They’re very good quality for the money.

They look a bit over-priced and style over substance to me.

I've lost track of how many camera bags I've bought over the years - what's best really depends what you want to carry and how far. I've got a few from ThinkTank which are very good. The Mindshift range are comfortable, well-made and fit a lot in. This is their US site but you can find them at various retailers in the UK:

Alternatively Shimoda, F-Stop and Lowepro are all worth looking at too. Shimoda and F-Stop are similar in design as the inserts are removable, so you buy the outer bag and can use various sizes of inserts depending on what you want to carry. I've had a few Lowepro bags for years too and no issues with quality - I just ended up moving to ThinkTank as I preferred the design.
