Not great art but rewarding enough for a Sunday morning walk I thought...

Impressive; captures the atmosphere perfectly. Sunrays, forest floor, crunchy leaves, mild autumn air assaiing the nostrils, hint of smoke from the woodsman's fire.... ooh! Suits me!

But - not sure about having a massive great tree bang in the middle though; it rather hits one between the eyes.

Yep, I knew it would be a bold image when I took it. You've got me thinking if this is one of those images where there are actually two different pictures in there so here's a slightly different crop which I hope gives a more creepy, jungly, feel to it.

Personally much prefer the cropping of the second image, lovely shot. Agree with John as the tree being a bit 'in between the eyes' on the first.

Saying that, think the individual elements are great. Definitely my favorite time of the year.

I love the first one, the colours and the light are great.

I'm going to go for the first one as well.

There is a funny sort of pinky splodge about a third of the way up the trunk though. Is it a lens defect / tree defect... Can it be lost?

How's about a luverly bit of monochrome. Go on you know you want too. Loads of contrast and an olive sort of a tinge. You will, you will, you will. Go aann...

Hic.

sorry.

D'oh, just done it on the second one. Oh well, at least you'll get a feeling for the mood of the picture. Might try again when I get back from work.

Ok, last one for now. Copper toned.
