One of my SD cards with about 100 shots from the weekend in Paris has gone loopy on me. Suddenly stopped accepting shots and the camera says "This card can not be used" on the display (D70) Any ideas? I did hear Jessops do a disk recovery service? Anyone used it?

You better speak to my other half (Deckchair on here), she works for Jessops and I know they can do recovery of memory cards. She's out on a driving lesson at the mo, but I'll get her to advise you when she gets back.

Apparently it's £25, they use the image recall software but not all shops will do it apparently.

Did someone petrol bomb your camera?

That would explain it!

I had as much success recovering images from a friend's camera with the freebie recovery program from this site www.artplus.hr/ as I did from trial samples from other manufacturers charging £30 or so. It was easier to use than most of the others too !

GOOD NEWS! The software a kind and friendly PH'er sent me worked. Saved the day an all are happy. Thanks Phil & John.

The offending card is to be tortured and suffer a slow agonising death!

I got Lexar Image Recovery free with the card. 'Free sofware included' it said. 'That's funny', I thought, 'the pack isn't big enough for a CD... mini-CD perhaps...? Ah'! Clever bastards!
