After being disappointed with my large canvas print from Photobloc, I thought I'd try the services of www.fluid-images.co.uk/ and I was very pleased with the result, in particular the colour rendition.
The Photobloc one had a milky finish and was lacking in contrast where the fluid images one was much closer to the original and retained a lot of the vibrant colours.

Add a very speedy service (and a v good price) and it's a from me.

I'll sort out pics a bit later, I don't have the original one as it's been wrapped as a gift (receiver will be none the wiser on the finish).

MrsFish, it's not yours, I wanted to sort out a decent supplier before doing that one!!

Tried to take a couple of pics but shiny canvas is proving v difficult to do well without loads of reflective speckles, it doesn't do the piece justice.

Will try again in daylight.

I have recently purchased over £20k worth of machinery that can also print onto canvas. Not fully conversant yet on canvas but would be happy to experiment with anyone who has some good high res images they can send me.

I would also be interested in selling through the trade. So if you would like to offer a service of selling your pictures as large, and I mean large (e.g.: up to 1.3m x over 2m) then give me a shout!

rex ordered from them recently as a tester and it was very good, particularly the personal service given.

I am sure he will post more comments, but we will be using them as our canvas supplier from now on.

Nice to see the quality reflecting the price. The price is at the very high end, but it sounds like they are a cut above the rest.

Could you photo the mounting (the rear) as well?

Can second the quality and colour quality of the print. Service is great and Tim is quite happy to answer any questions regarding technical issues.
Canvas can be put on board (approx 10mm thick )or on a 1 inch frame. Personal preference will be with yourself or the client. Will be Tim for both clients and my own stuff.
If your out there Tim, the disc will be with you by Monday.

I'm not sure I'd agree with you comment about prices - given the 10% Pistonheads discount I'd be surprised if anyone's cheaper actually !

Happy to mount on frames too, it's just a question of personal preference, ie hollow or solid backing, and 12mm or 25mm depth.

There are a few that are around 30% cheaper, but I've heard the quality is "iffy" at best.

Printing on canvas is a bit of a skill it seems....

There are also raw materials that are 50% cheaper ,ie inks & canvas, but I won't go near them ! Epson Ultrachrome ink & Epson 410 gsm canvas, and the difference is like night & day...
